History
Early Life
Milo's mother, a Sunseeker Miqo'te, and his father, a Highlander Hyur, met each other while traveling outside of Eorzea. A Dancer and a Goldsmith respectively, they both fell quickly in love and were soon married. Garleans were advancing on the area, so the newlyweds fled to Eorzea, Thanalan specifically.
She soon discovered she was months pregnant, and both decided it was wise to settle down in the nearest farming village to raise their family. They were welcomed with open arms as refugees, and Milo was born to celebration of the entire village.
When Milo was but half-a-summer old, his mother died mysteriously, leaving his father-- with the help of some villagers-- to raise Milo himself for several years.
Milo's father remarried another refugee of the village, a Highlander Hyur woman, and they became a happy family once again.
Pre-Adventurer Life
As Milo grows, his parents and villagers teach him how to read and write, how to tend to a garden, and how to tend to animals. When he's old enough, he does odd jobs around the village, moving boulders, dirt, repairing buildings, and the like. He grows strong because of it.
At home, he shows an interest in his step-mother's sewing, learning beginner techniques and crafts for Weaving. His father gets less and less work as the demand for goldsmithing declines, leaving their family finances tighter than before. The stress of it leaves his father sick; Milo using his connections with the villagers for help.
After several months of fighting off this sickness, Milo's father passes away. He's buried in the village's cemetery, and all mourn his passing as a loving and caring father and husband.
Few days after his burial, Milo awakens to find his step-mother had disappeared. He looked for her everywhere, questioning several villagers if they had seen her. One man mentions to have seen her silently walking out of the village at morning's first light.
This leaves Milo incredibly confused. Should he go after her to find her and bring her back? For what reason? A grown, adopted son and a boring village life that reminds her of her deceased husband? He mulls over the decision for several suns.
He decides to leave his home and become an adventurer in the nearby citystate of Ul'dah. He bids farewell to the villagers with the clothes on his back, a few loaves of bread and a small pouch of gil to start his adventuring life.
